Surrounded by the Connecticut countryside, and with 200 years of history, The White Hart Inn is certainly a unique experience for those wanting a romantic getaway in idyllic New England.

 

Set in the Berkshire foothills, this 16 room inn features exquisite decor, with modern luxury. Since 1867 this charming inn has operated as a post-road accommodation, yet the original structure dates back from 1806. You can feel the history within the walls, and you can become part of it's story.

 

This Connecticut inn was named after a tavern in Hampshire, a picturesque county in the UK, with the name inspired by The White Hart - the personal badge of King Richard II.

 

The 16 rooms are divided into 4 categories - a Double Bed Room, the Classic King room, the Suites, and the John Harney Suite. Each have their own personality, and offer amenities to ensure the most comfortable and romantic stay.

 

The Double Bed Rooms are cozy, and feature two full beds and full bath. The Classic King Room gives a classical New England experience, with beautifully appointed hardwood floor and Carrara marble bathrooms.

 

The Suites define luxury and tranquility, with a king bed and separate living area. With an extra half bath, and large flat screen TVs, these beautiful rooms are found in the main building as well as the Gideon Smith house.

 

Then, the John Harney Suite is the ultimate indulgence. Named after John Harney, founder of Harney and Son's Tea that actually began life in the basement of The White Hart.

 

This grand two bedroom suite was actually once the office of Mr. Harney himself, and gives every couple stunning views of Salisbury stretched out in front of them.
