WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

The USA is filled with atmospheric and unique places to stay, but sometimes you come across an inn that exudes intrigue and magic as soon as you set eyes on it. The Story Inn is one of those places.

Located near Nashville, Indiana - not to be confused with Tennessee - this incredible inn has been standing strong since 1851. Here, you can select from the intimate charm of the inn rooms, to the rustic elegance of the Garrison Cabin, or the fascinatingly historic village cottage.

Each of these tranquil escapes have their own story, and their own history that will bring an extra level of appreciation to your stay. Many of the rooms are named after previous owners, the Wheeler Homestead Back and Front rooms are from the renovated one-room schoolhouse, and the Old Mill Loft was aptly named after it's original function as a grain mill.

Whatever accommodation option you choose, you know that a rich history is surrounding you, inspiring you, and engaging you during your romantic escape in The Story Inn.

Dining at The Story Inn is an experience in itself, and the refined and defined Hoosier cuisine at the inn brings people from all across the state. The majority of the produce is grown in their own culinary gardens. Their ever developing wine program is a beautiful addition to their seasonal menu.

A truly special experience that will envelope you in a rich history, nestled in the town of Story that was founded in 1851 as a logging community.  Today, it is perhaps the best preserved example of a 19th Century village that survives in the American Midwest.

DON'T MISS:

Dining at the inn is an experience in itself, â€‹with much of the fresh produce grown on-site by their gardener Jackie

GO THAT EXTRA MILE:

For that little extra privacy, the Garrison Cabin inspired by "the great outdoors". It will give you that bit of extra privacy, and a lovely view of the Story Inn barn from your private porch.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE KNOW:

The "Blue Lady Room" is named after the lady that apparently haunts both the room and the general store!
