Located in a historic Tudor Revival home in Delaware's capital, State Street Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and dates back to 1911.

 

Today, State Street Inn continues to embrace it's historic charm, set among a diverse collection of historic stately homes, and it's the perfect place for you to escape to for your romantic New England getaway.

 

The inn itself is worth spending time just to unwind, and relax. Stroll the huge garden, or test your skills on the putting green. Get lost in your favorite book in the library, or play some board games together.

 

If you want to take in the surroundings, just relax on their huge porch with that glass of wine as the sun goes down.

 

State Street Inn offers four rooms, each with their own warm, cozy atmosphere and features.

 

The Blue Room, the inn's largest room, features a four poster Queen bed. The Red Room offers the largest private bathroom. Both of these rooms feature a jetted tub for those romantic moments.  The Black and White Room also offers the most unique design.

 

All room feature beautiful original hardwood floors which add those reminders of it's fascinating and rich history.

 

Every morning, all guests will be treated to a full hot breakfast as well as continental buffet using organic ingredients when they can. Blueberry pancakes or waffles, eggs and French Toast will start your day perfectly. On weekends, they may also offer a special entree.
