In the heart of Lincolnland you'll find Market Street Inn B&B. This romantic Queen-Anne style Victorian Inn dates back to 1892, and will immerse you in a warm, romantic, and beautifully historic experience in Taylorville, Illinois.

 

Your innkeepers, Joe and Myrna, will show you what real hospitality should be all about during your stay in one of their ten beautiful guest rooms.

 

The Main House will greet you even before you set foot through it's doors with it's classic Victorian wraparound porch that overlooks the gardens.  Inside, this historic property features a total of six original fireplaces along with ornate woodwork and antiques.

 

A stunning grand oak staircase leads to eight of the ten rooms.  Each room has it's own uniquely warm charm, with modern and luxurious amenities to make your stay as wonderful as possible.

 

All of the rooms have private baths, and all of the rooms feature beautiful working fireplaces, perfect for those cooler nights.

Some of the rooms even feature ornate four poster beds and whirlpool tubs to enjoy.

The remaining two suites can be found in the Carriage House.

 

Every morning, all guests will be treated to a full fireside breakfast in the Main House dining room. Over wonderful homemade egg casserole, fresh fruit or refreshing tea, chat about your stay in Springfield, exploring and discovering it's incredibly rich history.

 

Breakfast at Market Street Inn B&B is quite an experience in itself. Your innkeepers do their best to recreate the nostalgic Victorian ambiance with this candlelight breakfast, or even at fireside in those colder months. Here, breakfast is an occasion, and one worth the visit.

Taylorville was the last stop on Abe Lincoln's ​circuit as an attorney in Central Illinois, so Market Street Inn is a great base to explore all the Lincoln history in the area!
