Greyfield Inn is a true gem that oozes that Georgia peach charm.  The inn is a stunning plantation style mansion located on the truly beautiful Cumberland Island - Georgia’s southernmost coastal island.  

 

It was built in 1900 for the daughter of Lucy and Thomas Carnegie. Over one hundred years later, little has changed.  It's pristine facade still holds all the stories and memories it has amassed over the years since.

 

It has stood through its lifetime on over 200 beautiful acres of oceanfront land. As soon as you step into its presence, you will feel like only yourselves, and nature, exist.

 

All 16 beautifully decorated rooms are adorned with historic and family heirlooms, as well as personal antiques. It is these thoughtful touches that give each room it’s own character.  With it, the room brings to life the stories and the history of those who once lived there.

 

Your daily tariff during your stay at Greyfield Inn is actually an all-inclusive “package” for your entire stay.  This means everything is covered for you.  Your ferry transportation costs to and from the island, as well as all your incredible meals.

 

Enjoy their delectable Southern style breakfasts which are an incredible start to the day.  Indulge in their romantic picnic lunches that can be enjoyed on the waters edge.  Soak up the romance during your  mouth-watering gourmet dinner.   You will also treated to tours of the islands, and have unlimited use of their bicycles so you can explore with just the two of you, in your own leisurely time.

 

On this tiny island, time seems to stand still and you become immersed in the nature around you.  Wild roaming horses pass by the deserted sandy beaches, and the sand dunes constantly shift with the winds and tides.  Fish on the lake as the sun sets in front of you, or stroll through the countryside.

GO THAT EXTRA MILE:

The library suite and Porch Suites are favorites of guests.  They are beautiful stately suites with luxurious King and Queen bed respectively, with private baths and stunning views.

 

DON'T MISS:

There are hors d’oeuvres served during the evening Cocktail Hour.  These are included in the cost of your package and a great way to meet the people behind your stay.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD WE KNOW:

Whilst the non-alcoholic beverages are included in your package, alcohol isn’t, so factor that in.  You will want to enjoy some wine with the views you will experience.  You also need to embark the ferry from the Florida embankment at Fernandina Beach.
