WHY IS IT SO SPECIAL?

Once home to the French impressionist Edgar Degas, this New Orleans B&B is brimming with culture, history, and southern charm. It's at this Louisiana icon that you can experience the life of this artistic genius with your own eyes, whilst indulging in your romantic time away together.
Built back in 1852 and now beautifully restored, it features on the National Register of Historic Places - and now you can be part of it's story.
Degas House offers three suites, two rooms, and four garrets to choose from. Each bring their own personality to your stay. The Estelle Suite allows you to relax in an impressive claw foot tub. The Mathilde and William Bell suites let you relax with that champagne in your very own Jacuzzi tub.
Both rooms come with similar features so you have plenty of options. The garrets, all windowless, can be found in the eaves of the B&B. These are just as beautifully decorated, and offer you another level of privacy should you wish.
The names of each room were inspired by family members of Degas. Why not learn their story during your stay? The room will feel even more special as you connect with the past.
Then, come morning, ensure those stomachs are empty for a mouthwatering Creole breakfast. This cooked-to-order feast offers New Orleans classics including Creole Omelets, and Bananas Foster Pain Perdu.
If you do want to learn more about Degas, you can explore the museum. It is the only home of Degas that is open to the public in the world. Of course, save some time to explore the incredible sites of New Orleans during your stay. Be inspired, be excited.
Infuse the energy and history of the B&B and the city, and you will return home more inspired by life.
A historic and iconic accommodation in New Orleans.
